Brevard Physician Associates (BPA) is seeking dedicated Physician Assistants within our Emergency Division to fulfill our mission in providing the absolute best health care to the population of Brevard County. You will provide superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding service by providing the highest standards. You will be supported by supervising Physicians and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

Essential Functions

Manages emergency treatment and triage Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medicine Inform physicians about any problems and consult Acquire and review patient histories identifying abnormal conditions Monitor patients’ progress and keep records of treatments Examine patients and conduct routine procedures Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients Takes ownership and represents BPAs mission and organizational goals established by the executive committee Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards Collaborate effectively with team members of various specializations Performs physicals, diagnostic tests, and screening evaluations Provides care to patients in a safe environment Participates in departmental Continuous Quality Improvement efforts and provides support for improvement of identified issues Works with Administration to ensure collaborative problem solving with staff through participation in identification, mediation, and resolution of issues and team problems Promotes staff and community enhancement through coordination of in-services to staff, Physicians, and partners to promote profession and organization Attends department staff meetings, Provider meetings, and other scheduled meetings Maintains Quality Performance measures Maintains predetermined productivity based on patient volumes Maintains internal customer satisfaction Job Requirements

Clear and active Physician Assistant licensure 1 Year experience of Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills Ability to speak and understand the English language Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and or sit for long periods of time, work in front of a computer monitor and use keyboard for sustained periods of time. Able to walk about the department and hospital and lift and carry items up to 25 pounds without assistance.
