The Software Engineer will support our PM Tactical Network at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD with 3 days per week on site and 2 days per week telework.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support system integration which consists of upgrades, testing and configuration of network components on the Emulation Test Bed such as traffic stimulation (i.e., TGEN).
- Support system testing by performing various tasks such as test-scenario development, network traffic stimulation (e.g., TGEN), system configurations, test-run execution and monitoring, network-data capture, data storage, and post-test database generation.
- Data analysis that entails analyzing the network data collected from the test runs and producing data products for management review.
- Develop and implement a test plan to validate major rewrite of a backend processor in C .
- Design and develop new GUI screen to display network performance statistics.
- Update the TRANCE backend PCAP parser to recognize packets from various VLAN locations
- Develop automated and customized set of SQL queries to analyze network statistics.
- Troubleshoots external network issues as they arise.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
- Active DoD Secret clearance required
- Some travel may be required.
