Job Title: Local Contract - Ultrasound Tech Number of positions: Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeksStart Date: 01/21/2024Hourly pay: $44.32OT: 1.5Weekly Pay: $1,662JOB DESCRIPTIONDepartment: UltrasoundShift Timings: 14:00 - 22:00- Monday to friday (5 days/8 Hours)Per Week: 40 HoursRoles & ResponsibilitiesThe Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound studies, demonstrating good judgment in the use and application of ultrasound equipment.The incumbent assesses the findings in the ultrasound examinations and assists the radiologist and staff physicians in interpreting the ultrasound studies.QUALIFICATIONS•BLS and ACLS•National Institutes of Health (NIH)•Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.•The ability to stand for extended periods.•Strong technical skills.•Knowledge of medical terminology•Passionate about patient care•Requires a minimum of two years of current Ultrasound Tech experience. •Graduate from a fully accredited Sonography program•Active unencumbered Illinois Sonography state license •One year of Epic experience Requirements•COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.ABOUT HEALTHCARE STAFFING PLUSHealthcare Staffing Plus is a US based national per diem, local contract, and locum tenens agency.
