Position: PRN CNA
Schedule: Must work a minimum of 2 shifts per month
Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.15 per hour, based on experience
  • $2 Evening Shift Differential
  • $1 Night Shift Differential
Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in various settings as needed. This role requires flexibility and the ability to pick up a minimum of 2 shifts per month.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including using appropriate assistive devices and techniques.
  • Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, including administering medication as directed.
  • Assist with feeding, including preparing and serving meals and ensuring patient comfort during mealtimes.
  • Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, including tidying patient rooms and changing linens as needed.
  • Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including infection control practices and confidentiality requirements.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid and current CNA certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to [specific weight] pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Capability to assist with patient mobility and transfers.
