MHA is an approved site for the New Jersey Behavioral Healthcare Provider Loan Redemption Program.

The Mental Health Association is seeking a Full Time Licensed Clinician (Mental Health Clinician) for our Criminal Justice Reform (CJR) Program in Essex County. 

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • LPC, LAC, or LCSW required 
  • E xperience with SMI and the forensic population is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completes community based Mental Health Evaluations and provides evidence-based therapy utilizing CBT/DBT, IMR and Harm Reduction techniques with the criminal justice population.
  • Provides re-entry planning, linkage and referral to community resources following release from the county correctional system and jail diversion from local municipalities.
  • Participates in team and monthly community provider meetings.
  • Electronic Clinical Record keeping will be required as indicated by funding sources and/or accreditation agencies.
  • Supervisors must meet all expected productivity levels for direct service provision to consumers.
