Ontario County is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time  Psychiatrist position.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Possession of a license to practice medicine in the State of New York AND three years of formal or supervised training in an in‑patient or out‑patient mental health program PLUS two additional years of clinical experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT FOR ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATIONS:  Eligibility for a license or temporary certificate to practice medicine issued by the New York State Department of Education and either possession of a valid certificate in psychiatry issued by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or proof of admission to the next written or oral test for the certificate.  Possession of the license or temporary certificate to practice medicine in New York State is required at the time of appointment.

Agreed to by Municipal Service Division and Department of Mental Hygiene, Division for Local Services and are based on the license requirements of the Education Law.  March 1973 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT:  Possession of a valid New York State Operator's license at the time of appointment, and maintenance of such license throughout the tenure of employment in the position.

Salary :  $250,000/yr with comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays, paid leave, 2% match to deferred compensation, full health and dental insurance, wellness program, EAP, professional development training, and NYS Retirement pension.
