What You’ll Do Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the financial close and reporting function for the US and Canadian entities. Responsible for oversight and accuracy of both the operating entities and cost centers. Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to executive leadership, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide supplemental information to enable the preparation of reporting packages and the cash flow statements. Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, and addresses variances as needed. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP Revenue Recognition & Reserves: Oversee the POC revenue recognition process, ensuring revenue is recognized accurately based on project milestones and cost incurred. Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to review project budgets, forecasts, and progress billings. Ensure all POC adjustments are properly recorded and reflected in financial statements Manage the accounting and financial reporting for workers' compensation, warranty reserves, and self-insurance programs. Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Act as a key liaison between the finance department and other operational teams, ensuring alignment on financial objectives and processes. Work with the Technical Accounting and Reporting team on technical or complex accounting matters. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function. Leverage technology to streamline accounting processes and improve the accuracy of financial reporting. Assist in the development of appropriate financial procedures and controls. Assist with the ongoing implementation of an ERP system.
