Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Nurse Manager, the Lead Home Attendant oversees the daily operations of specific work within the department. The Lead partners closely with the Nurse Manager to provide leadership coverage and presence throughout the department. This individual is responsible for ensuring effective operations through organizing and monitoring department workload. In addition, this position will monitor work quality and productivity metrics and coordinate training as needed. This individual will serve as the first line of escalation for staff questions on workflows and processes. The Lead is responsible for scheduling, training new staff, assisting in the planning and development of training materials, assisting in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes, and serving as a go-to resource for staff. The lead will identify areas for improvements and develop plans for improving the quality of these processes. This is a working Lead position where Incumbents provide a variety of tasks to the residents of Wildflower Court as well. Working as a Home Attendant responsibilities will be cleaning the resident rooms, provide food service, and other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications for the Job: * Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. * Preferred License: Current State of Alaska Driver's License. * Experience: Two (2) years Home Attendant experience at Wildflower Court or medical facility or Three (3) years in a related field outside of a medical facility (such as home care). * Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Food Workers Card within 30 days of hire. CPI training (TEAM/BERT or similar as approved) within 90 days of hire. Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms. Practice Notices: * All new employees are required to produce negative drug screen prior to start of employment.
