Job Responsibility Summary: Responsible for coordinating and optimizing the layout of steel coils, ensuring maximum material utilization while adhering to customer requirements and production schedules. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams will contribute to the overall success of our operations
Position Requirements:
· Must have strong mathematical skills, and ability to understand at utilize mathematics daily.
· Must be organized, with ability to multi-task with a keen eye for detail in fast paced environment.
· Must have strong computer skills.
· Ability to work well with others.
· Ability to negotiate costs with outside processors.
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while adhering to production schedules and customer requirements.
Job Duties Include, but not limited to:
Coordinate and optimize the layout of steel coils for slitting operations, ensuring efficient material utilization and adherence to customer specifications.
Review customer orders and production schedules to determine coil placement, maximizing productivity and minimizing waste.
Collaborate with the production team to understand production requirements, coil dimensions, and specific customer requests.
Collaborate with inventory management personnel to track and monitor inventory levels, identifying any discrepancies and reporting them to the appropriate parties.
Provide guidance and support to operators and production personnel regarding coil placement, layout adjustments, and handling techniques.
Communicate with external suppliers and vendors to coordinate the delivery and storage of coils, ensuring timely availability of materials
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in slitting processes, equipment, and technologies, recommending improvements and cost savings and implementing best practices as appropriate.
