Description
Mayvin is seeking a Junior Capture Manager to join our Business Development team and help drive company growth through successful capture and proposal efforts. This position is ideal for an individual looking to gain experience and grow in the field of capture management. The individual will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities and supporting corporate Business Development initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Must have a professional demeanor with the ability to interact with senior Government and industry leaders.
Clearance Required : Active SECRET clearance
Responsibilities
  • Research and identify new business opportunities in the defense and federal markets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients and partners through outreach activities and attendance at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of proposals by collaborating with subject matter experts, project managers, and other team members for technical, staffing and past performance sections.
  • Draft, review, and proofread correspondence and other communications as well as assist with special projects.
  • Perform market research on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform capture strategies.
  • Develop capture plans, including identifying key stakeholders, establishing win themes, and developing competitive analysis.

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Local to DC Metro Area.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, capture management, proposal development, or a related role

Skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with capture and proposal tools and techniques, such as Shipley or APMP methodologies, is a plus.
