Systems Chief is looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team in our NJ office. The Systems Administrator will represent the company for our customers system. This role maintains upgrades, maintenance, and any installations needed for our customers. The System Administrator will educate our customers and act as the first point of contact for support within the business for technical needs.

The ideal candidate will have strong time-management skills and excellent communication skills, which enable him/her to work with various employees and leaders within the company. The System Administrator will own any/all technical problems and feel passionate about technology and helping others.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Respond to calls and emails, provide fast follow-up, and identify solutions. Collaborate with our internal and external customers to elaborate on project statuses and winning achievements.
  • Configuration/administration of workstations, laptops, printers or servers
  • Configuration/administration of Windows-based Active Directory and Domains
  • Update PowerShell scripts
  • Solid understanding of IP networking including DNS, subnetting, and routing
  • Installation, configuration, and testing of wired/wireless networks
  • Software and hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Detailed documentation of all client systems and job details
  • Providing support for cloud-based applications and for IT related systems (VOIP phones, VPN connections, etc.)
  • Resolve network-related issues (Internet connectivity, network drives, switches, firewalls, modems, routers, WAPs, etc.)
  • Install and troubleshoot consumer and commercial hardware and software and services
  • Familiarity with network drawings, schematics, and topologies

Requirements:

  • Prior Technical Support experience 
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, equipment, technology and other performance-monitoring tools
  • Strong understanding of proactive customer service
