IT Support Specialist

Diagnose end-user technical issues in the areas of applications, operating systems, hardware, network connectivity and/or user issues.
What we offer:

  • Travel (drive) to multiple KION Group sites local to the Summerville, SC area
  • Follow a pre-defined process for setting up computers
  • Install or remove software as needed
  • Respond to support calls and completing users software/hardware installations
  • Perform regular administrative functions to ensure appropriate access to end users
Tasks and Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Solid technical knowledge of personal computer hardware/software systems in a LAN/WAN environment
  • Good judgment and analytical ability essential for responding to support calls and completing users software/hardware installations
  • Excellent skills in dealing with unstructured problems that affect productivity of computer users
  • Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technical concepts
  • Strong follow-up and organizational skills
  • Professional manner in person, on the telephone, and via e-mail; excellent communications skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence in the IT teams knowledge of and concern for the user's business needs
  • Significant experience in an IT support/technical environment, client/server platform or with personal computer
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying a min of 50lbs
EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in Computer Technology a plus
