Job Description

  • Manage, implement, and evaluate the Infection Control Program
  • Develop and monitor the employee health program
  • Coordinate the Workers' Compensation program
  • Prevent and control the acquisition and transmission of infectious agents
  • Surveillance, analysis, and reporting of hospital acquired infections
  • Educate employees about infection control and develop organizational infection control and employee health standards

Qualifications

  • Current license or registration certification applicable to health-related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge or job experience in Workers' Compensation law and OSHA regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
  • Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred
  • 1 year experience in a clinical setting in field of practice

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds
  • Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity

  • Information ordering, deductive reasoning, time management, critical thinking
  • Ability to work independently without continuous supervision

Environmental Conditions

  • Indoor, temperature controlled, smoke-free environment. Occasional outdoor exposure
  • Potential exposure to blood and body fluids may be required
