Job Description: The industrial electrician will maintain electrical components and equipment’s. Reliable individual who has experience with instrumentation and control system. It is a 24 hrs. coverage from Sunday night through Friday evening. Essential Duties:•Installation of electrical components of ongoing projects.•Trouble shoot problems that occur on our equipment.•Perform daily visual inspection on compressors and emergency generators.•Maintain emergency lights and all lighting throughout the plant.•Maintain P.A system and trouble shoot when needed.•Maintain burners on all gas fired production equipment. • Performs other related duties as assigned by the maintenance director. Competencies & Skills required:•Thorough understanding of electrical principles and design. •Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools and industrial equipment•Detail-oriented and organized.•Able to read and understand electrical drawings, and wiring diagrams. •Good problem-solving ability. •Willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lift of heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc. •Able to bend, cut, thread, and install conduit. •Familiar with the use of multimeters and other electrical diagnostic tools•Able to work with minimal supervision and any shift as needed. •Good verbal and written communication skills. Education and Experience:•Associate’s degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance or Electrical TradesSupervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
