PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
While embracing the mission and vision of the Diocese of Green Bay, provide immigration counseling; provide direct immigration services including intake, information and referral, application assistance; engage in outreach and networking; and serve as an advocate as may be appropriate. Provide legal assistance, in the form of assisting clients to complete various immigration related applications, providing "know your rights" presentations or group based legal workshops.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in the field of immigration law and procedure desired.
  • Some traveling is required to provide immigration legal services in our various office locations; must have valid driver's license.
  • Must be 21 years of age due to operating a motor vehicle as part of the job.
  • Must apply for Department of Justice accreditation within 6 months of hiring.
  • Successful DOJ credentialing is required for continued employment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy.
  • Strong Time Management and attention to detail.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
PREFERRED:
  • Bilingual ability - Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Swahili, and/or Russian.
