Description Position Overview: The System Administrator is responsible supporting and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Exchange, as well as, Microsoft SQL database administration. This includes but not limited to overseeing user policies, security, administration, account management, NTFS permissions, ensuring the health and backup schedule of all SQL databases and audit functions of systems as needed. Essential Functions: Handles all aspects of information security and protects the virtual data resources of a company. Oversees all desktop, mobile, and network security, Installs, administers and troubleshoots an organization’s security solutions. Adds team members to the domain and deleting them when needed. Runs the Active directory and exchange environment reports. Oversees the Exchange server administration. Gives permissions to users on network folder structure. Maintains SQL servers for peak performance and backup. Performs vulnerability and penetration tests. Monitors traffic for suspicious activity. Configures and supports security tools (firewalls, antivirus, and IDS/IPS software). Implements network security policies. Analyzes and establishes security requirements. Identifies threats and working on steps to defend against them. Trains employees in security awareness/procedures. Develops and updates disaster recovery protocols. Conducts security audits. Detects any weaknesses in a company's computer network that may make them vulnerable to cyber-attacks. Trains staff on proper protocols, monitor network traffic for any suspicious activity, perform risk assessment, audit machines and software. Updates software on the latest security patches and ensures that each network resource has the proper defenses. Maintain and perform Support services including all activities and task needed to support Mobile sports betting infrastructure. Performs other tasks as assigned. Understanding Microsoft NTFS permissions and how they relate to system security, audit and compliance. Complete understanding of managing Microsoft SQL servers. Strong Microsoft Office skill set Strong communication and documentations skills. Knowledge/Work Experience: Must be 21 years or older S. degree with an emphasis in Computer Science, Information Technology Cyber Security or closely related field. Seven (7) years of progressive quantifiable experience in Microsoft server environment. Proven experience in managing Microsoft and SQL servers. Experience in managing Microsoft SQL servers. Strong understanding of network systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, NTFS permissions and SQL server management. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate license through the New York State Gaming Commission Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other Team Members or guests. Fluency in English required. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability: Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request. Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least fifteen (15) pounds, and prolonged sitting during the shift. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke. Must be able to handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner. Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Team Members must be able to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
