YOUR SCHEDULE
This coding position works Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm . We offer the option to be fully remote; you must live in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, or King County, Washington.
YOUR DAY
As a Level 2 Software Developer, you help design, develop, test, debug, troubleshoot, and optimize software applications. You aim to create clean, efficient code that works well and provides a seamless digital experience. Attentively, you design applications by studying information needs, gathering user feedback, and analyzing data usage and workflow throughout the development lifecycle. You also review other developers' code and provide constructive feedback. This is a collaborative role where you work with team members to develop a shared technology roadmap as well as use and improve our CI/CD processes. You also help design and maintain automated test cases and tackle other software development duties as needed to keep our applications smooth and efficient!
LEVEL 2 SOFTWARE DEVELOPER REQUIREMENTS
- Reside in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish, or King counties in Washington State.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline OR equivalent work experience (2+ years)
- Experience in designing and building client or server applications with a desire to learn both
- Experience with SQL databases
- Knowledge of REST standards and experience creating and consuming REST APIs
- Proficiency with Python or C# and object-oriented design
- Proficiency with a modern front-end framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
- Proficiency with an ORM like Entity Framework, Dapper, or Django
- Proficiency with orchestration programs
- Knowledge of the CI/CD process and unit and integration testing
- Integrity and good communication skills
Our ideal Level 2 Software Developer has experience with enterprise-scale SQL or DB2. Airflow experience would be a bonus for this coding position.
