Summary: Provide excellent service to all hotel guests. Assign guest rooms, check guests in and out of the hotel and manage a cash drawer. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: * Assign guest rooms in accordance with current policies and procedures * Register guests and ensure all necessary details are obtained * Accurately manage cash flow in assigned bank * Maintain knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, in-house groups and other situations affecting the front desk's daily operations * Process guest accounts upon check-out in an efficient and accurate manner * Provide excellent guest service and handle all special requests and complaints until guest is completely satisfied * Assist other departments with their requirements that may be pertinent to hotel guests * Maintain the guest's mail as needed * Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members * Perform other duties as assigned * Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations Requirements: Qualifications * Previous cash handling and hotel customer service experience preferred * Prior experience working in a team or group environment * Ability to interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner at all times * Able to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal * Able to accurately perform basic math skills * Must be at least 21 years of age * High school diploma or equivalent preferred * Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company * Verify right to work in the United States Work Cards * None Physical Requirements * Frequently lift and/or carry up to 15 lbs. at floor, knee, and waist levels * Frequently walk bend, reach, twist, squat, and kneel * Constant standing and use of vision and hearing Work Environment Potential Conditions * Indoor * Smoky and noisy Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
