Join us and discover the possibilities for your future!<br /> <br />Compensation: $18.50 /hr<br />Worksite Location: NCAT Campus<br /> <br /> <b>WSU Tech Benefits (Varies):</b> <ul>Paid Holidays: 15 &ndash; 18 paid holidays</li>PTO: Earn 18 &ndash; 28 days annually</li>Tuition Waiver Program</li>Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance</li>KPERs</li></ul> <br /> <b>Overview / Job Summary:</b> <br />The primary responsibility of the Flight Dispatcher is to maintain the daily and weekly flight schedule, schedule aircraft maintenance and ensure detailed record-keeping of aircraft usage. The flight dispatcher performs all duties as directed by the Professional Pilot Program Director, Dean, VP or the President.<br /> <br />Your day-to-day <b> <i>responsibilities</i></b> will vary, but are not limited to:<br />&nbsp;<ul>Create and maintain a daily schedule to assign student pilots to aircraft and instructors.</li>Maintain an accurate and updated record of maintenance performed on each aircraft and coordinate with maintenance personnel to schedule aircraft for periodic inspections and unscheduled maintenance.</li>Maintain aircraft maintenance logbooks and associated entries.</li>Work extensively with the flight instructors, check airmen and Program Director to assess student needs and schedule them accordingly.</li>Invoice all flights and manage student flight accounts.</li></ul>This role will also conduct monthly updates to aircraft avionics systems and coordinate aircraft storage during inclement weather. Assist with procurement and acquisition for the flight program. Oversee and track aircraft usage, generating weekly reports, and act as a liaison between student pilots and fuel service providers to ensure timely refueling. Maintain an inventory of aircraft oil, replenishing stock as necessary. Perform general administrative tasks, including phone and computer use, record retention, copying, and filing.<br /> <br /> <b>Education: </b> <ul>High school diploma <u>required</u>; associate degree <u>preferred</u>.</li></ul> <b>Preferred Requirements: </b> <ul>Industry experience in aviation business, specifically flight operations or aircraft maintenance <u>preferred</u>.</li>Ability to assist with manually pulling/pushing aircraft in the hangar or on the flight line.</li>Familiarity with FAA regulations and requirements preferred.</li></ul> <b>Additional Requirements:</b> <ul>Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.</li>Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.</li>Ability to use personal computer and software applications, strong Microsoft Office skills. </li>Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.</li>Ability to communicate effectively with other team members maintain tact and patience when dealing with difficult situations.</li></ul> <br /> <em>WSU Tech is committed to inclusive and equitable practices to create an environment and culture where students and employees thrive.
