Flex Truck Driver 1

Primary Purpose: Move and spot box trailers and chemical tankers for loading and unloading product. Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities: • Perform safety check of Flex Truck each morning • Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance of company Flex Trucks • Safely move and spot trailers for drumming facility as required • Daily inspection of trailers prior to loading/unloading • Perform minor maintenance activities • Execute operating orders, work orders and other associated documents • Perform truck loading/unloading operations as necessary • Operate lift trucks • Inspect, stencil and label containers (drums) per customer requirements for quality control • Assist with drum/tote shipping • Communicate and work with others to accomplish work tasks • Problem solve and troubleshoot as issues arise • Properly use PPE • Perform daily housekeeping as needed • Comply with all EHS policies and procedures, including reporting of all accidents, incidents and near misses to the foreman or management. • Other duties as directed or required Position Requirements:Education: • High School Diploma or Equivalent Requirements: • 2-3 years of hazardous chemical tanker experience • CDL and ability to obtain Tanker and Hazmat Certificate is required • Ability to obtain forklift certification • Ability to use basic hand and power tools • Must be able to perform the physical requirements including but not limited to walking up and down stairs/ladders; negotiating uneven surfaces and carry up to 50 lbs • Able to work in all weather conditions • Able to become a member of the Facility Emergency Response Team • Ability to work unsupervised, if necessary • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both orally and written. • Basic Reading, Writing and Math skills. • Basic computer skills • Successful completion of company drug screen, background check and respirator fit test upon job offer • Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets the criteria of the Company and its insurers • Ability to attain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) as issued by TSA (Transportation Security Administration) Preferred experience, skills and knowledge Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position: • Forklift Experience preferred • Knowledge of PPE and industrial safety requirements
