  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 8-10 years of experience. 
  • Background in manufacturing or the poultry industry to set you apart.

What you’ll do:
The Firmware Developer will utilize an iterative process to work on the design and formation of new and existing industrial automation solutions from concept to placement with the customer.  This role will focus on the development of embedded systems with some development of hardware.  You will be instrumental in writing firmware for embedded controls, including the integration of proprietary electrical hardware and firmware into first generation products. 

Other key areas include:
  • Partner with cross-functional engineers to design evolving products.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment.
  • Work and grow within a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Create, update, and apply detailed documentation for firmware and software designs.
  • Live out Nova-Tech Engineering’s mission, vision, strategies, and values by taking a strengths-based, agile approach to our team members and company. 

Our location:
In 2005, Nova-Tech partnered with Life-Science Innovations to buy a 37-building, 110-acre historic hospital facility in Willmar from the State of Minnesota.  Since that time, we have developed the resulting MinnWest Technology Campus into the largest privately owned technology park in the country.

Willmar, MN is a bustling community located less than two hours from Minneapolis and one hour from St. Cloud known for its lakes and vibrant entertainment.
