Job Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Quality technician is responsible for boxing and shipping parts per verbal and written instructions.

Primary Job Functions

  • Boxing parts
  • Complete the daily shipping report
  • Use computer software to ship, track , check and route orders
  • Answer emails and questions regarding shipments
  • Package parts per instructions; complete related documents such as packing slips, inspection documents, shipping related work orders, labels, and bills of lading
  • Report to management or lead on activities and issues
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection on parts prior to packaging
  • Order shipping related supplies as needed
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean and orderly

Education and Training

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

1 Year related experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Working knowledge or UPS and FedEx shipping programs
  • Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 30 pounds frequently
  • Attention to detail, quality conscious individual
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools
  • CMM knowledge is a plus
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of forklift operation

Working Environment / Physical Demands

  • This position requires the ability to stand, stoop, and bend for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
  • This position requires the manual dexterity sufficient to operate common manufacturing machinery and hand tools.
  • Must speak clearly using the English language to accurately convey information and be able to hear at normal speaking levels.
  • Must be able to visually read the work instructions, gages, and monitors required to complete daily tasks.
  • Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds, frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 100 pounds.
