The John Galt Insurance Agency is an independent property and casualty insurance agency which has been serving the needs of our clients for over 60 years. We are looking for a sales manager who would play a key role in the company and who would be directly responsible in maintaining the smooth and efficient operations of his/her section of the business. Management and sales experience is required but insurance experience is not a requirement.
Duties and Responsibilities The manager has to plan, direct and coordinate different aspects of the operating area he/she has been allotted Make sure that operations run smoothly and according to company policy Must maintain good relationships with brokers and insurance companies and their representatives Continually see that the marketing strategies are successfully implemented and are actually contributing to the profits of the company Screen, interview, hire and train those that report to him/her Evaluates and gives feedback required for his employees to be successful
Skills and Specifications Execution - Able to get things done effectively and meet deadlines. Dedication - Not afraid to roll up his/her sleeves and work hard to get the job done. Strategic - Thinks strategically, understands the big picture. Creative - The ability to think outside the box, the ability to see things that others do not see. People - Works well with their subordinates; encourages direct reports growth and is energetic. Non-judgmental - Open minded, not everything is black and white. Be fair and just. Learning - Passionate at learning and improving oneself. Humanity - Relate to direct reports; ability to gain their respect and loyalty. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are required. Good leadership skills are a requirement and should be able to motivate his/her team to meet sales goals.
