Pharmacy Technician (Onsite at South Plainfield)

Job Overview:

The Pharmacy Technician assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services under supervision of the Registered Pharmacist by performing the technical, clerical and manipulative tasks involved in dispensing, preparing, and distributing all medications and pharmaceutical products for all patient age groups (includes geriatrics, adult, adolescent, pediatric and neonatal). Candidate will work closely with Pharmacists and department team members. They will be comfortable working in a fast paced pharmacy environment with strong multitasking skills. Work and/or performance shall conform to written established policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 1 year of Pharmacy experience.
• Pharmacy Software/Data Entry/MS Office.
• Successful completion of all orientations.
• Customer service skills a must (high volume call center with patient satisfaction in mind.

Preferred:

• Associates degree preferred.
• Insurance knowledge and claim adjudication is a plus.
• Close team environment.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Registered with the Board of Pharmacy within 180 days of the start date.
• CPHT Pharmacy Tech certification is preferred.

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per Diem, Day
