Metro Physical Therapy has an immediate opening for a part time Exercise Class Instructor to work onsite at our partnered Assisted Living Facilities, in addition to our outpatient clinics. We're looking for someone with a positive, upbeat personality who enjoys working closely with seniors!
Schedule:
Roslyn - Tuesdays & Fridays 10-11am
Glen Cove - Thursday 9:30-11am
Pay Rate:
$30-$34/hr

Essential Functions:

  • Use your expertise in fitness and sincere desire to help people, to work with active older adults to achieve their fitness goals
  • Responsible for instructing safe, educational and enjoyable fitness classes for residents of the Assisted Living Facilities and patients in our outpatient clinics
  • Participate in specialty wellness classes at request of the facility
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Requirements
  • Must have a Fitness/Personal Training Certification, CPR, AED, and Liability Insurance
  • Valid NYS Driver's License
  • Knowledge of exercise techniques
  • Prior exercise/fitness instruction experience is a must
  • Must be comfortable leading and motivating a group

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the staff member is frequently required to walk, stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The staff member can regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.

Salary Description
