• Compensation: $20-30/hour based on experience

Primary Job Functions:

• Help equipment operator, excavation manager, and other skilled labor when necessary. Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using trucks, power cranes, shovels, or related equipment
• Operate machines to spread, smooth, level materials on road beds or other job sites as needed. Observe grade in order to adjust machine settings and indicate. Coordinate machine actions in response to hand or audio signals from crew members
• Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment, using mechanics' hand tools
• Maintaining a clean job site - pick up tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
• Setting up shoring , New service install, ditch work
• Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
• Participate actively in all training exercises, continued education, morning meetings, trade shows and retreats.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CDL license with clean driving record preferred.
• Sewer Layer license preferred but not required
• 2+ years of equipment operating to include Excavator/backhoe/skid load experience.
• OSHA safety and Trench Safety certifications highly preferred
• Must be able to understand and adhere to the safety requirements of this position.
• Self-motivated, personable and professional with a knack for diffusing messy situations and problem solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High integrity with the strong desire to be better tomorrow than you are today.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to complete required physical labor for entire shift.
• Must maintain a healthy physique able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., hold a minimum of 30 lbs. overhead for an extended period, squat/sit in small space for extended period, and aid in other overall physical job requirements.
• Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold.
• Must be able to climb up and down a ladder numerous times throughout the day
• Comfortable and capable of working in attics, basements and crawl spaces.
