Growing pipe fabrication and Process skid builder is looking for a self-motivated, hands on individual to help grow our company in the areas of Estimating and Purchasing. Must be detail orientated, organGrowing pipe fabrication and Process skid builder is looking for an Estimating / Purchasing agent who is detail orientated, organized individual to read mechanical drawings (piping and structural steel). Do material take offs, research materials and pricing, and create proposals, purchase materials, and check them to assure they are correct and match (MTRs), File critical paperwork per project specifications.

 

Qualifications / Duties

· Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook.

· Extensive steel and pipe fabricating blueprint reading and the ability to interpret and analyze specifications and tolerances and prepare customer proposals.

· Knowledge of steel and pipe fabrication process.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Work with customers to assure them their product will be built per specifications they provided, and it will be on time.

· Minimum 5 years’ experience estimating and purchasing.

· Solicit and collect material cost, and estimated time of delivery.

· Resolve discrepancies in customer and vendor contracts.

· Regularly review job costings to establish accuracy of estimates.

· Broad knowledge of types of steel and equipment necessary to complete the project.

· Assist the General Manager in daily operations.
