GPI is seeking an environmental scientist/analyst with 0 to 5 years of experience for our growing transportation group in our Scott Depot, WV, office. The qualified candidate will assist with the environmental review and permitting process for various transportation improvement projects in West Virginia. We seek individuals ready to work collectively with a multi-discipline team of engineers in a dynamic office environment on interesting and challenging projects. Projects involve varying types of roadway, bridge, intersection, and trail designs with a focus on 'complete streets' style projects for State and Municipal clients. Responsibilities: Support the design team by identifying potential environmental impacts and required permits Perform site visits to assess and document existing conditions Review historic and cultural resources within or adjacent to proposed projects Prepare permit documents to be filed under various local, state, and federal regulations Create environmental plans to accompany permitting documents Quantify impacts to wetlands and other environmentally sensitive areas Identify appropriate locations and methods for stormwater management and impact mitigation Coordinate project reviews with various clients and local, state, and federal agencies Attend hearings and present the project and its proposed impacts to local Conservation Commissions Respond to comments generated during the local, state, and federal review processes Coordinate with project abutters and concerned citizens Record all project certifications with the appropriate state and local agencies Qualifications: BA / BS in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Environmental Engineering or other related fields Interest in the Transportation Engineering field Interest in environmental legislation and the review/permitting process AutoCAD experience is a plus <img src="https://ars2.equest.com/? response_id=4a64e1235da16827b47425010fdd3be2&view" alt=" " width="1" height="1"/>
