<strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong> <br> <br>An Engineering Intern is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements that foster a Safe work environment and provide a quality product to the customer efficiently and economically.<br> <br> <strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong> <br> <br>&bull; Collaborate with others and manage Engineering responsibilities associated with safety and process improvements.<br> <br>&bull; Management Non Capital improvement projects including new equipment installs, cell improvements, etc.<br> <br>&bull; Lead cross departmental teams to implement process improvements.<br> <br>&bull; Evaluate current processes, equipment, and procedures to determine if they are performing efficiently.<br> <br>&bull; Conduct root cause analyses and develop correct actions.<br> <br>&bull; Provide technical support for all departments when called upon.<br> <ul> <li>Develop a working knowledge of new technology through research.</li> </ul>&bull; Participate in the 4 week Cross Departmental Training program.<br> <br>&bull; Complete additional assigned tasks in a timely manner.<br> <br> <strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong> <br> <br>&bull; Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).<br> <br>&bull; Knowledge of Lean Concepts.<br> <br>&bull; Ability to safely operate hand tools, power equipment, and machine shop equipment.
