Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Indianapolis, IN (must be within an hour driving distance)
Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years as a Project Manager
10-15 years of field experience in construction
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to plan, direct, coordinate, and budget activities related to construction projects, specifically focusing on the trade scope. The Project Manager will be involved in the conceptual development of construction projects and will oversee their organization, scheduling, and implementation.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Collaborate with superintendents and foremen to plan, organize, and direct construction project activities.
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within company policy and contract specifications.
Discuss work procedures, complaints, and construction problems with supervisors and foremen.
Maintain liaison with customers and other contacts to facilitate project activities.
Monitor and control projects through administrative direction of on-site foremen to ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion.
Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy sessions.
Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interests while maintaining a good relationship with the customer.
Requisition supplies and materials necessary for project completion.
Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
Formulate reports concerning work progress, costs, and scheduling.
Work with the Superintendent to assign workers to construction sites for specified projects.
