CDL A Driver

D&D Mechanical, Inc. is looking for a full-time Truck-driver/Tool Room Assistant for deliveries throughout Richmond and Newport News in Virginia. Deliveries originate in our Richmond, Virginia fabrication shop.
We are seeking a motivated individual who can coordinate customer needs, has experience in inventory management, productivity, and logistics. The position requires strong customer service, organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate must be trustworthy and able to work both independently and with a team.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Class A CDL Licensed Driver to operate commercial trucks that have an attached cab and cargo area with a combined weight greater than 26,000 pounds, as well as trucks with a detached towed cargo vehicle that weighs less than 10,000 pounds.
Must be able manage several projects at once
Excellent driving record required
Will be required to help load and unload trucks
Must be able to move and lift 50lbs frequently
Must be willing to help in yard or shop when needed
Three years driving experience required
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Work may include pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds, such as raw or fabricated material, equipment, or tools.
Must be able to perform tasks in hot and cold temperatures.
Work will include frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and stooping and occasional climbing onto equipment.
Work involves standing and/or walking for extended periods of time, up to a minimum of 8 hours per day.

Salary Range: $20-$25 commensurate with experience and qualifications
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 7:00AM-3:30PM, role may require weekend or overtime hours.
