Job Summary and Mission
This role is responsible for driving the performance, equity, and share of our brands in alternate channels, with focus on the Club channel. This role spans across all DGIC brands to bring a holistic approach to channel innovation. This position will strongly collaborate with the brand team, product development, sales, shopper marketing, operations and finance to generate demand and drive growth.
Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Starting with the Club channel, lead and support all alt- channel new product development (NPD) and renovation projects from start to finish, prioritizing business impact, category growth, and consumer needs.
  • Partner with key cross functional teams to commercialize NPD projects.
  • Work with sales to align and integrate alt channel strategies and priorities into the overall commercial plan.
  • Execute alt channel brand plans flawlessly to grow the category and achieve market share goals, while continuously monitoring performance and optimizing in real-time.
  • Champion DGIC's portfolio of brands to maximize results within the alt-channels, with lens toward driving competitive advantage with a bias for action to drive stronger performance versus competition.
  • Analyze internal and external data to identify insights and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the corporate category team to transform shopper insights and 4Ps analytics into action.
  • Create customer presentations, develop customized category plan-based selling stories regarding assortment, new items, pricing, promotions, display/merchandising tactics, analyses and plans.
  • Participate in the development of Customer Category Business Plan (Club and alt channels) with sales team and customers.
  • Use marketplace data and trends to support developing a deeper understanding of the demographics, psychographics, and behavioral drivers of our consumers
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and marketing conditions to identify opportunities and challenges in the club channel
  • Support new product and packaging redesigns and implementation as needed for renovation, innovation, quality improvements
  • Be an advocate for the brands internally and externally. Prepare, present and sell-in aspects of the brand plan to senior leadership, cross-functional partners and external stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Marketing or related field; MBA preferred but not necessary
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in retail sales, brand marketing, or new product development. Strong preference for Consumer Good (CPG) exposure.
  • Experience developing and launching new items and brand plans, such as launch plans and commercialization strategies.
  • Strong track record for driving results with increasing levels of responsibility and impact
  • Quantitative strength in analyzing data and synthesizing learning into insights and action, including experience with Circana/IRI/Neilsen.
  • Experience partnering cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Passion for identifying consumer insights and transforming them into significant product and marketing innovation.
  • Deep understanding of key P&L drivers.
  • Prior knowledge of the club channel (Costco, Sam's, BJ's) needs, expectations, and buying and promotion strategies is preferred but not necessary.

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $100,000 and $115,000 per year.
