OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY

The Dining Room Manager is assigned to assist the Dining Services department with daily operation of the student and employee dining. This assignment will enhance the customers experience by providing detailed cleanliness and ensuring adequate supply of wares and products. Must comply to all CDC requirements and guidelines due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

SHIFT

  • Monday to Friday 4:00pm to 7:00pm, must work 2 to 3 shifts a week depending on operational needs.
ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Address all Dining Services issues throughout schedule shift such as food shortages and ensuring seating options.
  • Ensure and uphold students to the CIA Safe guidelines.
  • Oversee Dining Room Attendants during scheduled shift.
  • Find coverage for any shift in which a Dining Attendant called out.
  • Maintain TV Screen that communicates the kitchen openings/closings times.
  • Responsible for locking up student Dining Rooms and returning keys to safety.
  • Organize and maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of student and employee dining rooms including tables, chairs, floors and serving counters. Must adhere to all recommendations and guidelines set by the CDC during the Coronavirus pandemic.
  • Restock dining rooms with all service wares including silverware, glassware, condiments and maintain an adequate supply for all stations during service hours.
  • Maintain all beverage levels during service hours.
  • Assist with any table or buffet set-up/break down.
  • Set up of serving stations.
  • Pick up daily orders from storeroom or other locations and deliver to designated areas. All items must be put away and secured according to FIFO, OSHA and Department of Health Codes.
  • Remove dirty dishes, glassware and silverware from any dining/service area/gazebo and return to dish room for proper cleaning and sanitation.
  • Adhere to the CIA professional dress and hygiene codes.
  • Empty and remove all trash from dining/service area and complete outside garbage runs.
  • Greet students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Responsible for locking up student Dining Rooms and returning keys to safety.
  • Any and all duties as required.
PREREQUISITES
  • Front of the House experience or Supervisor experience
PREFERRED PRIOR EXPERIENCES
  • Experience in a fast food or casual dining environment.
  • Familiar with a teamwork-based environment.

Successful applicant must be able to perform all related functions of the assignment which may include working nights and weekends, ability to bend reach and stand for long periods of time, lifting and carrying of items up to fifty (50) pounds, and the ability to withstand high ambient temperatures.
