Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program leading to an associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance.
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) issued by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of California.
Previous experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant preferred, particularly in clinical settings serving diverse populations and age groups.
New grads are welcome to apply.
Current CPR certification.

Willingness to travel and work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, and community-based programs, as assigned.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members.
Ability to adapt to different work environments, client needs, and treatment approaches while maintaining professionalism and adherence to ethical standards.
Physical ability to assist clients with mobility, positioning, and therapeutic activities, as well as to meet the demands of a dynamic work environment.

Job Summary:
As a Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) based in CA,you will play a vital role in providing occupational therapy services to clients in diverse settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans, conducting therapeutic activities, and supporting clients in achieving their goals. This position offers the opportunity to work in various healthcare facilities while experiencing the unique culture and environment and its surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
Work under the supervision of Occupational Therapists to implement therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve clients' functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.
Provide hands-on assistance and guidance to clients during therapy sessions, ensuring their safety, comfort, and engagement in therapeutic interventions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment activities, and outcomes according to regulatory standards and facility protocols.
Prepare and set up adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and therapeutic tools as directed by Occupational Therapists to support clients' participation in therapy sessions.
Collaborate effectively with Occupational Therapists, other healthcare professionals, clients, and their families to facilitate coordinated care and ensure continuity of treatment.
Educate clients and their families on therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies for promoting independence and improving functional skills outside of therapy sessions.
Assist in coordinating ancillary services and resources, such as transportation, home modifications, and community-based programs, to enhance clients' overall well-being and rehabilitation outcomes.
