The Social Impact Accelerator (SIA) develops and implements processes, systems, and structures to facilitate, coordinate, and hold IFF accountable for equity in practice, cross-functional collaboration, innovation, scaling of impact, and systems change. SIA comprises five interdependent functions: Strategic Insights; Strategic Response; Organizational Learning; Sector-Based Strategy; and Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Strategic Insights leads IFF’s knowledge gathering and sense-making and stewards a data-informed culture by growing, developing, and nurturing IFF’s data assets and supporting data-informed decision making and strategy for IFF, as well as our customers and the communities we serve. Basic Job Function The Community Data Insights (CDI) team is a specialized team of geospatial analysts that leverage existing community and internal datasets to extract actionable insights to solve real world community development challenges. The CDI team serves external community partners throughout the Midwest and supports IFF staff and business lines. As part of the Community Data Insights team, the Senior Community Data Analyst contributes to the successful implementation of impactful data-driven projects and initiatives. Primary responsibilities are designing and executing mid- and large-sized projects . The Senior Community Data Analyst should have proficiency in all aspects of spatial analysis including collecting and cleaning data, mapping data, extracting actionable insights from trends, patterns and spatial relationships, and presenting spatial analysis in high-quality maps, visualizations and written materials. The Senior Community Data Analyst must be a collaborative team player, intellectually curious, an advocate for the use of data to inform strategic decision making, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Core Responsibilities: 1. With minimal supervision, designs and executes mid and large-sized internal and external projects, from client engagement on initial concept development to final deliverable. Ensures alignment between project objectives and client needs. Facilitates effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders. Manages project budgets and allocation of resources. Acquires and prepares quantitative data from secondary sources to support internal IFF projects and external projects. Ensures adherence to best practices, data integrity, and data privacy regulations. With minimal supervision, develops and executes quantitative/spatial analysis plans and methodologies . Designs and produces data visualizations including maps, charts, and graphs that are easily consumed, aesthetically appealing, and visually impactful. Contributes to the development of reports, publications, and proposals. May occasionally be called upon to participate in presentations. Designs and develops innovative web apps, data tools, and resources that support strategic decision making and learning for IFF and our partners. Assesses lessons learned, identifies areas for improvement, and implements process enhancements. Innovates methodologically and on protocols, process, and procedures. Attends and participates in required educational programs and staff meetings 3. Develops and fosters ongoing partnerships with data owners, stewards, and analysts, including universities, community data centers, school districts, and government agencies. 4. Demonstrates a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Promotes an environment of empathy and respect, ensures the inclusion of all team members, and will actively engage in EDI events and learning opportunities. 5. Perform other projects as assigned. Performance Measures: 1. Successful delivery of internal and external high-quality spatial products, written materials, and verbal communications. Analyses, visualizations, tools, and reports are complete, accurate, comprehensive, and clear. Projects are executed according to budget, timeframe and goals set forth at the beginning of each project and the department’s policies and procedures. Oral presentations are well developed, visually appealing, persuasive, and effective. 2. Professional development embodies the value of life-long learning, including a focus on innovation and employing best practices on spatial methods, protocols, processes, and procedures that will be implemented team-wide. 3. Engagement with clients, Community Data Analysts and colleagues is effective, collegial and results in high quality, action-oriented results, on time and within budget. 4. Cultivates a culture of openness in information sharing. Encourages open communication, cooperation, and the sharing of knowledge. 5. Models personal accountability that promotes ownership and engagement. 6. High level of satisfaction with both internal colleagues and external contacts. Position Qualifications: Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferably in urban planning, human geography, statistics, economics, or related field. Previous Experience:

Minimum of seven years of related experience. Experience will demonstrate progressively increased responsibility for GIS technical implementation and strategic support. Advanced proficiency in ArcPro and ArcGIS Online with demonstrated ability to build custom online applications and sophisticated online tools. Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva for data visualization. Additional Requirements : Regular regional travel and occasional evening and weekend work.
