Distribution Intern

Hoffmaster Group Inc, an industry leader producing the most complete line of specialty disposable tabletop products for over 70 years, is currently seeking a Distribution Intern to support our Operations / Supply Chain team at our Foodservice manufacturing facility in Oshkosh. Hoffmaster competes in three distinct business segments – Foodservice, Consumer, and E-Commerce. The Distribution Intern will work with the Distribution and Supply Chain teams to assist in the coordination of warehouse activities on a daily basis including receiving, storing and shipping of product in a timely manner consistent with the Company services and cost objectives.

Essential Job Duties:

· Through a coordinated effort with each Group Leader, assist inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are correct and completed in a timely manner. 

· Make recommendations to the Distribution/Warehouse Manager on programs to improve department operations

· Assist the Distribution/Warehouse Manager in planning space utilization to meet prescribed cost standards. 

· Assist in conducting physical inventories as required.

· Follow and Maintain all Food Safety, GMP and HACCP Guidelines

· Will perform all other duties as assigned. 

· Operate in compliance with OSHA and MSDS Standards.

· Participate in Gemba walks and look for opportunities

· Assist in troubleshooting inventory discrepancies in system

Requirements :

· Currently pursuing a Business, Supply Chain or related degree. Jr or Sr level preferred

· Ability to work on a team and independently

· Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills

· Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel Power Point and ability to learn new computer programs

· Manufacturing experience preferred
