Job Description:
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key strategic accounts to meet current and projected sales volumes and revenue targets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES:
Primary responsibility is to implement sales initiatives to support the company's products. These activities will include, but not be limited to the following:
  • Establish excellent working relationships with strategic accounts.
  • Learn the customers business to bring further value in new product and service opportunities.
  • Manage and motivate a small support team daily to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, supply chain, production, and finance for timely execution of customer priorities.
  • Work with customers to forecast future production requirements and communicate the needs internally.
  • Effectively communicate the company value proposition and product features.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts.
  • Work with customers to maintain payment within agreed upon timeframes.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards.
  • Stay up to date with external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales.
  • Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities.
  • Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.
  • 30% Travel Required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Working knowledge of the commercial vehicle market and experience including, but not limited to the following:
  • Prior experience with commercial fleet vehicle sales and/or engineering.
  • Have strong CRM skills. Previous experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Participation in the development of sales strategy, marketing and presentation support material.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills.
  • Creative, hands-on problem solver that brings new ideas to the table.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
  • Responsive with ability to follow-up with customers promptly.
  • Makes and keeps commitments.
  • Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills to facilitate cross-functional dialog at every level of both the Morgan Olson and customer organization.
  • The ideal candidate will have a college degree with a minimum of five years of responsibility in a successful sales and marketing organization within the Truck, or Body Building Industry.
  • Be computer literate with significant knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • The candidate will be highly organized with the ability to perform with minimal direction/supervision.
