You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs. In addition, you will be staffing and overseeing all pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing and controlling activities. You will fill orders with accuracy; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy. In this role, you will oversee 3 full time Staff Pharmacists and 3-4 Pharmacy Technicians. As a CPS-employed Director of Pharmacy, you’ll have a full support team available to you including experts in operations, clinical, and regulatory. Remote pharmacy services available for after hours coverage.
Schedule: This full time position works at least 40 hours per week. (Weekend/on-call coverage required if a staff pharmacist is on PTO)

We are a regional health center providing a wide range of health services, including emergency medicine, critical care services, medical/surgical, acute rehabilitation, obstetrics, and pediatrics, as well as specialty services such as cardiac catheterization, diagnostic and therapeutic radiological services, wound care, pain clinic, sleep lab, pathology, and so much more. This is part of the Lifepoint Health hospital system. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. Qualifications:
• Pharmacy Degree - Bachelors or Pharm D from an accredited school of pharmacy
• Iowa Pharmacist licensure that is currently active and in good standing
• At least 1 year recent inpatient hospital pharmacy management/supervisory experience
• At least 3 years recent inpatient Pharmacist experience
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
• Ability to work cooperatively with other members of hospital and pharmacy staff
Hospital Requirements: (may be required)
(PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
(MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
