Job Description
Position Overview
Acute Dialysis Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position participates in the development and implementation of individualized and comprehensive plan of care for each patient, provides direct and indirect care to patients as it relates to their dialysis treatment, including pre- and post-assessments, and administrations of medications during dialysis. In addition, the Acute Dialysis Nurse operates all dialysis equipment and supplies in accordance with hospital and departmental policy to provide expected patient outcome and documents in the medical record accordingly.
On-call hours are not required in the evenings or on Sundays!
Job Specifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nurse (BSN) and/or Master of Nursing (MSN).
  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse.
  • CPR - AHA BLS certification
Employment Requirements:
  • To maintain on-call status on an intermittent or regularly scheduled basis (no evening or Sunday on-call hour required!)
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding.
  • 18 months of clinical nursing experience.
  • 1 year of acute dialysis experience.
