Technician, Crisis Services (Day Shift)

POSITION SUMMARY
To provide mobile crisis services in the community and facilitate follow-up services to secure safe disposition for clients of all ages in immediate crisis.
This position is for DAY SHIFT on our Mobile Crisis Team, the hours are 7:30 AM - 8 PM and includes weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide crisis services to individuals within the community.
2. Provide collaboration and advocacy for positive outcomes for individuals in a crisis situation.
3. Develop and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external customers.
4. Remains current with all required training and certifications.
5. Performs triage of telephone contacts and on-site crisis situations to distinguish between routine, urgent, and emergent situations, complaints, and difficulties
6. Provides crisis support and intervention either by phone or in person to individuals in psychiatric crisis.
7. Facilitates safe and adequate dispositions as dictated by the nature of the individual's difficulties.
8. Identifies appropriate family and community resources and gathers appropriate release documents to arrive at safe disposition of clients in crisis.
9. Performs all necessary clinical documentation in a time frame that is consistent with the expectations as documented in the Family Health Center clinical policy and procedure manual.
10. Consults with other professional disciplines, Family Health Center departments, colleagues, administrators, law enforcement, first responders, etc. in an effort to communicate, coordinate, and deliver quality, effective services to individuals in crisis.
11. Provide transportation for clients in crisis when appropriate to ensure safe disposition or attendance at follow-up services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
a. Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
b. Experience: No specific requirements necessary. However, preference given to candidate with
experience with mental health.
c. Must be 21 years of age or older
Pay Range: $16 per hour
