Requirements:
A master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. State licensure or eligibility for licensure is required.
Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred. Registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) designation is highly desirable.
Prior experience as an Occupational Therapist preferred, particularly in evaluating and treating individuals with a wide range of physical, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions across different settings.
Previous experience working as a Occupational Therapist preferred, preferably in a travel or diverse clinical setting.
New grads are welcome to apply.
Current CPR certification.

Physical stamina and endurance to meet the demands of a dynamic work environment, including standing for extended periods, assisting clients with mobility, and traveling between multiple locations.
A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation may be required for travel assignments.

Job Summary:
Travel Occupational Therapists play a crucial role in providing occupational therapy services to individuals across various settings and locations. They help people of all ages with physical, developmental, emotional, and cognitive challenges to regain or improve their ability to perform daily activities and live independently. Travel Occupational Therapists have the opportunity to work in diverse environments while experiencing new locations and cultures.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, sensory, and emotional abilities, as well as their environmental factors and personal goals.
Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, setting achievable goals and interventions to enhance clients' functional independence and quality of life.
Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to improve clients' fine motor skills, sensory processing, coordination, mobility, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
Recommend and prescribe adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and modifications to the environment to support clients' independence and safety.
Educate clients, families, and caregivers about their conditions, therapeutic strategies, home exercise programs, and techniques for maximizing independence and participation in daily activities.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care and address clients' holistic needs.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
Stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy practice through continuing education, workshops, conferences, and professional development activities.
