Clinical Nursing Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY: The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating direct and indirect patient care activities during their assigned shift. They allocate resources to ensure efficient, effective, and compassionate care, as well as provide clinical and administrative leadership. The role involves promoting the nursing profession and representing the organization positively.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's Degree or current enrollment in a program, along with a Registered Nurse license from the state. Certification is highly desirable. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is also required.

EXPERIENCE: At least three (3) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting with demonstrated leadership potential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: The Clinical Nursing Supervisor visits patient care units, evaluates staffing needs, and administers the distribution and utilization of personnel. They also participate in quality improvement projects, assess patient placement and care needs, and follow emergency protocols. Additionally, the role involves mentoring staff, responding to emergent situations, and ensuring adherence to hospital procedures and policies.
