Cycle Counter
The Cycle Counter is responsible for performing cycle counting duties to ensure materials are properly verified and a high level of inventory accuracy is maintained. Duties include activities to maintain inventory accuracy through proper processing of material receipts and inventory transfers. This person must be proficient at root cause analysis.
Responsibilities and Duties

  • Schedule & perform daily Cycle Counts per planned schedules.
  • Involved with all aspects of Inventory Control including Yearly Physical Inventory.
  • Assist the Purchasing department in maintaining inventories of stock material.
  • Perform root cause analysis of discrepancies leading to corrective actions.
  • Work in various responsibilities within Oracle including: Cycle Counts, Inventory w/o Rec, RBC Inquiry, work in Progress and Purchasing Receiver.
  • Run Daily Cycle Count Reports
  • Run Weekly Entries and Adjustment Reports.
  • Investigate quantity on hand variances.
  • Investigate and analyze inventory discrepancies and adjust accordingly.
  • Monitor negative inventories throughout the plant.
  • Perform adjustment transactions and/or journal entries.
  • Maintain good relationships with co-workers, by encouraging teamwork concept for maximum productivity and quality.
  • Ability to work independently in a timely and safe manner, while consistently completing tasks within the time allowed.
  • Coordinating and training across all Shifts to resolve inventory issues. Assisting across all Shifts as needed in cycle counts of their STAGED areas.
  • Conducting and coordinating "wall-to-wall" inventories as necessary.
  • Researching discrepancies to their origin for resolution of variances. Communicating "upgrades/changes" to the systems as needed.
  • Making recommendations for continuous improvement to the cycle count process.
  • Organizing and leading a Team meeting or training session, as needed.
  • Prioritizing needs as related to the cycle count process.
  • Identifies and fixes errors as well as helps resolve errors identified by others.
  • Fulfilling all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Basic math, reading and communication.
  • Shipping & Receiving experience is helpful.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment helpful.
  • Must be able to handle fast paced, high-pressure situations, while consistently meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Working Environment: Primarily indoors and dock area which is cold to hot depending on the season.
Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and people skills are essential.
  • Ability to operate and teach co-workers how to use scanner guns.
  • Knowledge of Regal products, parts, and processes would be helpful
  • Strong computer skills (i.e., Excel, Oracle and Outlook).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fork truck certified.
  • Have the ability to motivate others.
  • Effectively manage time.
  • Be self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Able to acquire a fork truck license.
  • Able to be certified in material handling, inventory control and Prism.
  • Able to do all aspects of cycle counting, including weigh counts, hand counts, measure counts.
Physical Requirements:
Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead; lifts, carries, pushes, routinely pulls and moves up to 50#, holds and grips objects; must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment.
JOB TYPE: Full-time
SCHEDULE: 10 hour shift, Monday-Thursday 5am-3pm. Overtime as needed.
PAY: Starting at $19.00 per hour
