Maintenance Specialist I

We’re looking for qualified Maintenance Specialist like you to join our Texas Health family.

Work Location: Texas Health Denton, 3000 N Interstate 35, Denton, TX 76201

Work Hours: Full-Time; Monday – Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need:

· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is Required.

· 3 years in a commercial or industrial environment Required.

· 1 year of Hospital Maintenance experience Preferred.

· 1 year of commercial painting experience Preferred.

· DL – Driver’s License upon hire Required.

Skills

You are proficient in the use of computerized systems for all the following aspects of job performance:

  • Ability Proficient in the use of computerized systems for all aspects of job performance

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and utility systems

  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams

  • Ability to work effectively unsupervised and in teams

  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills

  • Ability work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

  • Knowledge of Windows/PC helpful

What You Will Do:

You, the Maintenance Specialist I , will provide routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for hospital, hospital equipment, and hospital properties utilizing the computerized maintenance management system.

  • Provide routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for hospital, hospital equipment, and hospital properties utilizing the computerized maintenance management system.

  • Performs the duties of skill trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, general maintenance, mechanical, HVAC, and exterior maintenance as required.

  • Provide technical support and general guidance to facility staff in the repair and operation of facility equipment, components, utilities, and the like.

  • Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs , education opportunities, and related training.
