Customer Service Representative

Job Overview:

The primary function of a CSR is to communicate with the customers, take orders and bill out invoices.  When taking orders, you will need to be educated across our wide range of products. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the CSR Manager. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services.
  • Handle Customer billing and systematic inquiries
  • Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services
  • Able to fill propane cylinders if needed
  • Answer incoming calls and assist walk in customers
  • Process driver tickets and paperwork
  • Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff
  • Maintain records of interactions with the customers in an orderly manner
  • Must be articulate and a confident communicator
  • Extremely efficient and accurate with data entry, Proficient in MS applications
  • Must demonstrate patience when communicating with customers and co-workers
  • Knowledge of customer services ethics, principles and procedures
  • Proficiency in administrative and documentation procedures
  • Versatile and willing to adapt to a situation with a customer
  • Coordinate with the internal department and/or supervisor to find solutions and resolve matters
  • Maintain a follow-up on the customer, to ensure they are satisfied with our Company
  • Follows company quality, safety and environmental guidelines as well as employee handbook policies
  • Able to handle loud background noise, high stress situations and frequent interruptions
  • Strong organizational and reasoning skills
  • Good interpersonal skills. Demonstrate professionalism; always be courteous and friendly to customers and coworkers
  • Regular interaction with peers on-site, including face-to-face meetings and spontaneous conferences
  • Regular and reliable attendance and presence at work 
  • Ability to stand/sit for several hours in a row
  • Operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Perform any duties as may be assigned
  • Pick items from the warehouse storage based on orders
  • Become Fork Truck Certified • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and audits
  • Update inventory records in the warehouse
  • Load products onto trucks or other transportation vehicles
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
  • Included but not limited to receiving, storing, and distributing materials, as well as maintaining inventory and ensuring the warehouse remains organized and efficient.

Qualifications / Experience / Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of related experience - preferred
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Superb administrative writing, reporting, scheduling, organizational, time management, and presentation skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to pass 7-year background check
