RN - Endoscopy

A hospital in Naples, FL is seeking an RN to join their Endoscopy team. As the RN for Endoscopy, you will provide direct patient care using standards of care and policy and procedure, assuming teaching and leadership responsibilities, and participate in unit committee and quality improvement activities. Additionally, you will be responsible for:

• Performing thorough admission assessment
• Identifying and prioritizing patient needs
• Initiating and coordinating patient/family teaching
• Evaluating outcomes of care to determine if patient needs were met
• Serving as preceptor and/or mentor to new employees and students
• Adhering to infection control policies regarding sterilization/disinfection

The ideal candidate will be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida and possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association with Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification preferred. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have intermediate computer knowledge, be able to initiate and coordinate patient/family teaching using individualized effective teaching methods, and be able to identify repair needs for scopes and equipment.
