We have an immediate opening for a Credential Manager at Reisterstown, MD 21136.

  • Credentialing Coordinator with a minimum of four years of practical experience in provider credentialing and privileging
  • Experience and knowledge of Army and National Guard Bureau regulations and policies relating to provider credentialing and privileging, and utilizing the Defense Health Agency's Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) is preferred.
  • Work Hours: on Tuesday through Friday

Responsibilities
  • Provide credential verification services for the MDARNG in support of surge and contingency requirements, as well as its steady state mission and track board certification dates for health care providers.
  • Complete all training required to get and maintain access to military databases, websites, and network access.
  • The candidate will gather all required documents for the health care provider packets to be reviewed at the credentialing board. The documents will be uploaded to the DoD Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS). The candidate may be required to call an outside agency to complete the credentialing verification process.
  • Check emails throughout the business day and respond in a timely fashion. An out-of-office response is required anytime the employee is not working on a scheduled day.

  • Ensure that they report significant or concerning findings to the Deputy State Surgeon or their designee.
Qualifications
  • US Citizen
  • Credentialing Coordinator with a minimum of four years practical experience in provider credentialing and privileging i.e. receiving and compiling medical provider legal documentation (medical diplomas, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) licenses, state licenses, National Practitioner Database records, malpractice insurance documents, certifications, post-graduate training, references, etc.), building comprehensive credentialing packets, and ensuring their absolute integrity.
  • Possess the required technical skills and expertise to perform the functions with minimum guidance. Technical skills include computer proficiency, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience and knowledge of Army and National Guard Bureau regulations and policies relating to provider credentialing and privileging, and utilizing the Defense Health Agency's Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) is preferred.
  • possess a current and active license to practice as a health care provider; physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant in the State of Maryland
  • candidate shall be able to read, write understand, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with all Soldiers, employees, and outside agencies.
