*CONTROLLER JOB DESCRIPTION*

A fast-paced, growing, exciting organization in Uvalde, TX is looking for a controller to become in integral part of our team! The role is located in Uvalde, TX which is an easy drive from San Antonio.

This role will help to streamline and standardize internal controls and financial reporting and assist with the data analytics needed to manage each of the 14 entities included in the holding company portfolio. This reporting and analytics is critical to the Owners of this portfolio of businesses as well as the General Managers of each of the businesses in finding efficiencies and helping to grow the bottom line for maximum profitability. The Controller will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

*RESPONSIBLITIES*

· Oversee and coordinate all financial activities and personnel

· Standardize and maintain a system of accounting records and procedures

· Review financial statements (year over year comparisons and monthly trends) for accuracy and direct correcting entries where needed

· Generate a monthly consolidating financial reporting package to include each entity’s financial statements and supporting schedules by the 10th business day of the month for review with Owners and each of the respective General Managers

· Ensure month end close process is performed for all entities by 7th business day

· Establish reconciliation processes for balance sheet accounts and ensure general ledger reconciliations are being done timely and on a monthly basis

· Manage and supervise centralized corporate accounting staff of 3-4 and ensure the daily operational accounting continues to function properly

· Assist in building new financial reporting and ad hoc reporting as needed

· Assist with integration of new acquisitions as the organization will continue to grow and add new businesses to the portfolio

*DESIRED REQUIREMENTS*

· Must have Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

· Fundamental knowledge of GAAP

· Strong leadership qualities

· Deadline and detail-oriented

· Must have 3-5 years of experience working in and have knowledge of the full accounting and reporting cycle.

· General ledger / financial reporting and close process experience preferred

· Exceptional balance sheet reconciliation skills needed

· CPA is preferred

· Heavy data analytics, strong analytical and critical thinking and trend analysis skills

· Experience in database structure and report building in software/ good accounting software knowledge and previous software implementation experience desired

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per year
