The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to lead financial initiatives, work closely with the CFO, and drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, offering mentorship and professional development for the team.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
Oversee the budgeting process, collaborating with department leaders to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, providing insights to guide strategic decision-making.
Manage cash flow, optimizing collection and payment processes for greater efficiency.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership, and oversee audits and tax filings in partnership with external auditors.
Foster collaborative relationships across the company to align financial strategies with business goals and address inquiries.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred but not required.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
Public accounting experience is highly valued.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Proven success in fast-paced, dynamic environments, particularly within entrepreneurial settings.
Experience with multi-generational family-owned businesses is a strong advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with a background in financial reporting and analysis tools.
Demonstrated expertise in implementing process improvements and streamlining financial operations.
