What You’ll Do:
Ensure accurate financial statements by challenging staff for up-to-date financial information
Prepare monthly financial overviews for each entity/manager including COGS, AR, Cash Flow, P&L, etc.
Oversee accuracy of payroll process and payroll journal entries
Process and oversee all invoices and expense reports for accuracy and budgeting purposes
Ensure accuracy of accounts receivable process, monitor AR balance and conduct debt collection
Establish and maintain internal controls for banking functions
Conduct all general bookkeeping activities including AR, AP, adjusting journal entries, reconcile sub-ledgers and trial balances
Maintain all registrations and filings including sales tax, quarterly tax, and state registrations
Prepare and review financial statements, reports and year end financials in a timely manner
Participate in Shunk Group Leadership Team
Develop and maintain professional and technical knowledge by establishing and maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations and attending training sessions
Maintain an understanding of all company products and services
Other duties as assigned by the franchisee
What You Need:
Considerable knowledge of basic accounting procedures and practices
Ability to maintain complex financial records and prepare financial reports accurately
Must be able to communicate and work with leaders in each area of the company with regards to financial goals and reporting
Excellent oral and written comprehension and communication skills
Exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills
Ability to work independently
Strong decision-making ability
Ability to assess performance for self-improvement or to undertake corrective action
Must be able to be insured under the franchise auto insurance plan
Must have excellent understanding of the following programs and Microsoft applications: Xero, Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive.
Work is performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards.
